Southern NH and the Seacoast Area gets  a snow blanket

Just when we thought winter was over with ,we get hit with a surprise snow storm.  Southern NH and the Seacoast Area gets a snow blanket! Hampstead NH by Monika McGillicuddy

I really can’t complain as we’ve had a pretty mild winter and the weather people did warn us about the impending  bad weather.  I think though, that we thought we might just get a few inches, instead in Hampstead NH we got about 11 inches.  Thankfully it will melt fast and the good thing is our Ski areas and Mountains are loving this stuff!

When is the best time to sell your Southern NH or Seacoast area home

The answer is Spring but many people have no idea when the Housing Spring Market actually begins.  The rule of thumb historically has been in March and usually it really depends on how much snow is not on the ground and how warm the temps are.  We always tell potential sellers to start preparing in February. Get a market analysis done by a REALTOR, ask for market suggestions and follow their advise.

We often get asked questions on the blog and lately we’ve had a few folks ask what the difference is between a client and a customer when it comes to New Hampshire real estate.  Simply put it comes down to representation… do you want or need someone to represent you exclusively in the New Hampshire real estate transaction? If so then you want to be a CLIENT.  Client = representation/contractual relationship with a REALTOR.

If you feel comfortable and knowledgeable in the process and don’t need or want representation, then by all means remain a CUSTOMER. Customer = self-representation/ facilitator relationship with a REALTOR.
