As REALTORS we’re often asked where is the best place to eat, to meet locals, to hang out…. stuff like that.  So we thought we would start a series on local businesses that we enjoy visiting. While we live and work in the town of Hampstead our market area is spread wide from anywhere in Southeast Rockingham County and the Seacoast area so it would be impossible for us to cover every business and that is really not our goal. Our goal is to introduce you to the places we like to visit and hopefully you will like them too.

Our first local business is Bean Towne Coffee House and Cafe, we’ve talked about Bean Towne in the past and really enjoy the cafe and the people working there and are sure you will to.

Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton and Seabrook Market Report

A quick glimpse at what the Hampton,Hampton Falls,North Hampton and the Seabrook real estate market has done this last month. Currently there are 438 active listings in MLS with 10 of those being under agreement with continue to show.  This includes condos and equals a 7 month supply of inventory.  41 homes and condos have sold this last month. Hampton- 19 single family homes and 9 condos, Hampton Falls- 2 single family homes, Seabrook 4 single family homes and one condo (condex) and North Hampton had 6 single family homes sold.

Snowtober… trick or treat it was not!

SnowtoberSnowtober… trick or treat it was not!

A freak early Nor’Easter dubbed “Snowtober” wreaked havoc for many people across New England including many of our friends and family. I don’t know about you all but I can’t ever remember having a storm like this so early!

Powerless again

This one caused us to be without power for two days and I am thankful that it was only for two days as many are still without power.  Many towns and communities also had to postpone or cancel trick or treat due to the nasty weather. In fact Hampstead rescheduled Trick or Treat to Saturday Nov 5th from 5-7pm.

Icestorm Windstorm and now Snowtober

I’ve heard that Snowtober had the third largest power outages behind the  Icestorm of 2008 and the Windstorm of 2010. You’ll probably remember Windstorm as it also resulted in the Hampton Beach devastating fire which altered the face of the beach.
