Batteries running low…time to recharge

Recharging my Batteries!

Working under awning copyright Monika McGillicuddyWe’ve been on vacation for the last two weeks.

When I say vacation please understand that during that time we both worked every day albeit from a distance.

I negotiated a contract, searched for homes, gave listing updates,e-mailed my e-leads, picked up 6 new e-leads, set up showing appointments… all while being hundreds of miles from my home and office.

Thank god for E-fax, WiFi, lap tops and small printers!

While I limited my blogging time severely I did pop in and check Active Rain every-once in awhile.

It was good to get away but even while away I never really got away from real estate.

Normal people take vacations and leave their work behind. Normal people clock out on Friday and don’t think about work until Monday..normal people don’t work nearly every weekend, normal people leave the office at 5pm or 6pm, normal people have benefits and health insurance. Don’t they?

I guess I’m not very normal but I do love what I do and the freedom it allows me. So when my mom says “you’re leaving again?” with that look on her face or my friends say “you guys always take off in that RV.” I have to remind them what my life is really like when I’m away.

You know what… I wouldn’t trade it for anything. life is too short to wait until tomorrow to do something special. Jay and I try and make every day special in some little way. No regrets here!

bay of Fundy copyright Monika McGillicuddyThis trip found us in Canada fulfilling a life long dream of Jays as we walked the ocean floor at Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy. It was a fantastic experience.

At times in New Brunswick I thought I was in Hawaii…it is so majestic.

After we left New Brunswick we went to Bar Harbor Maine for our annual week at the Bar Harbor KOA.

We have the best site in the entire park! No exaggeration…our site is waterfront and we can kayak right from our campsite.  This shot was taken at low tide…when it is high tide the water comes right up to the grass.

We were lucky enough to have Hopewell Rocks copyright Monika Mcgillicuddyseveral wonderful sunsets and some very tasty Maine Lobster.Sunset Bar Harbor Maine copyright Monika McGillicuddy There is nothing like it!

I guess it’s time to get back to work and blogging!
