My husband Jay recently pulled together the real estate market report for our area, Rockingham County. I think it is well worth sharing with you all.
Jay and I have been selling real estate in Rockingham County since 1984 and we’ve seen lots of changes to the area as well as the market during those years. Everything has it’s cycles and I think the market will go up again…albeit in a few years. I wish I had a crystal ball but I don’t…maybe 3-4 years is my guess.
Rockingham County New Hampshire Sales Data Jan 1 through July 31
Rockingham County is located in the southeastern corner of the state. It reaches from Portsmouth on the coast to inland as far west as Londonderry.
Rockingham County The nice thing about this county is it’s rich in history as it dates back to when people moved north from Plymouth, MA back in 1623. The government was linked with Massachusetts until 1679 but counties weren’t introduced until 1769. The county seat is the town of Exeter and our Registry of Deeds is now located on route 125 in Brentwood.
Along the coast we have the shortest coastline in the country just about 19 miles worth of driving is all you can do. Not much but we do have a great sandy beach in Seabrook and Hampton along with some rocky beaches in North Hampton and Rye.
Drive along the coast and view some beautiful scenery and glance at some exquisite real estate as you wind up and down the coast.
Real Estate along the cost is not for everyone’s pocketbook but you may be just surprised to pick up a nice fixer upper for a pretty penny.
Real Estate sales have exploded in Rockingham County over the past 10 years as more a more people moved up from Massachusetts as they once did back in 1623.
The following chart represents the sales data for Rockingham County from January 1st through the end of July this year.
