Southern NH Lifestyle Camping In New England

Spring is in the air and summer is right around the corner and with that comes the start of the New England camping season. In New Hampshire we have a short camping season so those of us that love camping and outdoor activities take advantage of it as often as possible. Living in Southern NH and the Seacoast area offers a wide variety of camping choices and that is just one of many reason why you should consider this area for your home.
I’m going to do a series of posts about a few of the special campgrounds and RV resorts that we love to visit starting with Salisbury Beach State Reservation. Salisbury Beach State reservation is a huge state run campground on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and the Merrimack River.
While this is a no frills campground it usually books up fast and you need to book at least six months to the day to get a reservation. This campground is far from a “resort” type campground and to some may look like a big parking lot but it offers some awesome memory making opportunities. Play ground, boat ramps, fishing, beach combing and just plain enjoyment of anything beach related can be had. Some of the camp sites run along the road facing the river with fantastic ocean and river views, others are further back. But no matter what camping spot you snag the ocean is a short walk or drive away.
We often spend time at the “river” beach when we camp at Salisbury and hopefully this short video will show you why.

Seabrook BeachThe other day after leaving Prudential Verani Realty’s Hampton office, I decided to stop at Seabrook Beach and Harbor. I love how pretty the beach is and could just walk there for hours in low tide. It was pretty cold out so this video is very brief.
Seabrook New Hampshire borders the state of Massachusetts and is the start of our awesome 18 miles of New Hampshire coastline. Seabrook Beach is one of New Hampshire’s true gems and one that not many people know about. New Hampshire Special PlacesJay and I have been playing around with video for a few years now. We do video, real video not just a still picture virtual tours of all our listings and also take video clips of things and places of interest.
I’ve been working on my editing skills and also trying hard to improve my over all video skills. Over the last few years we collected a video library of what we call special places mostly in New Hampshire and have created a playlist of them on our YouTube video channel.

Kingston State Park
This is a cool state park that is located in the town of Kingston, there is a boat launch, picnic areas and a beach to swim in. The state park is 44 acres in size and includes fireplaces , a playground, softball field, and game areas.
The town of Kingston also maintains a rec area for residents. The video below was taken on a sunny mild November afternoon and as you can see people were out on the lake enjoying themselves. Jay and I love riding our bikes around Kingston and of course we always stop to enjoy the water.

Horses on Hampton BeachI love watching the horses play on Hampton Beach, especially during the off season when the beach is nearly empty. It’s also the best time to walk along the beach and that’s exactly what I did one day after work. It was a pretty mild day, sunny and the beach was perfect for walking. The horses were an added benefit.
