New Hampshire’s Glorious Fall Season

Fall is a very special time of year for New Hampshire

While I am a major summer lover, fall has always been very special to me. Not only do we often have summer type weather, that lasts well into the fall season but it’s also a very visually beautiful time of year.  From our amazing New Hampshire coastline to our awesome White Mountains and the many country roads in between our scenic drives are sure to amaze you with all their glorious fall colors.

The Seacoast Coastal Byway

The Seacoast Area Coastal Byway is an awesome ride along route 1A to Portsmouth NH with dramatic ocean views and then there is the The American Independence Byway a 21 mile ride that winds it’s way along Exeter NH through Hampton NH and of course one of our most famous rides…  The “Kanc” Kancamagus Scenic Byway which is an all time favorite.

Be prepared for incredible New Hampshire beauty

A cruise along the Piscataqua River

Last Monday night Jay and I along with about 230 other real estate professionals went on a boat cruise along the Piscataqua River. The boat ride was sponsored by the Seacoast Board REALTORS and was a very popular highlight of the 5oth annual New Hampshire Association of REALTORS convention.

The convention was held in Portsmouth and was jam-packed with educational opportunities as well as networking, the installation of new officers and the crowning event… naming the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS- REALTOR of the Year.

We had a blast! Congratulations to Nancy Philbrick for being named REALTOR of the YEAR and to John Rice and his leadership team!

Hurricane Irene visits New Hampshire

Hurricane Irene visits New Hampshire

A few weeks ago Hurricane Irene, after much hype, barreled her way into New Hampshire and while those along the coast of New Hampshire got away relatively lightly the rest of the state and many along the east coast suffered devastating loss due to floods and high winds.  Parts of New Hampshire will never be the same, homes and roads washed away, totally destroyed and our neighbor state of Vermont has never experienced such devastation. It will take a long time to rebuild.

Investing in New Hampshire Real Estate

PortsmouthIs investing in New Hampshire Real Estate a good idea?

The New Hampshire real estate market has certainly been far from what one could call a good market. While there are many other states, towns and communities that have been hit harder than we have, we could  sure use a boost. That said, real estate continues to be one of the best LONG Term investments there is and I must stress the words – Long Term.  If you’re looking for a quick get rich scheme by investing in New Hampshire real estate then you need to go somewhere else.
