Today we attended our first NH Media Makers group meeting. As described on the group blog this is a group of artists, bloggers, photographers, podcasters, filmmakers, business owners, New Media enthusiasts, social media bugs, or people wanting to learn more!
They meet once a month and talk shop, share projects, and learn in an informal setting. The meetings are held monthly in Newmarket NH at the Crackskull’s, Coffee and Books 86 Main Street.
They are run and organized by John Herman who himself is an artist, writer, media maker and teacher. I am not sure how many people were in attendance but by all accounts this was the largest gathering to date. Everyone had three minutes to talk about themselves, what they do and projects they work on. The theme is very much sharing and learning from each other. Jay and I talked about our blogging efforts and passion for new media. We’re both excited about participating in the group and can’t wait for next months meeting.
