The whole town enjoyed the Hampstead New Hampshire Christmas Parade 2009

The weather held out as the town folks gathered to watch the parade!

It was very cold and shortly after the parade started, snow flurries joined us. Which was rather fitting as who doesn’t want a white Christmas.

Ice Storm 2008 interrupts a celebration

While watching the parade I couldn’t help but reflect on last years parade. It was held during the infamous Ice Storm 2008 and while the parade was a welcome respite many people stayed home or found someplace warmer to visit.  Click this link if you’d like to watch the 2008 Hampstead NH Christmas Parade Video.

Christmas through the years…

For the past three years Jay and I have been going to my sister Heidi’s house for Christmas. Heidi and her husband Jerry have a good size house, one that can accommodate a small crowd and Jerry loves to cook.

Over the years I’ve made slide shows of our Christmas day celebrations and decided this year to post them on the Blog. I used Slide.com to make the shows. I really like the shows because you’re not limited to how many photos you can use and you can add some cool music to your shows. You can also do some pretty neat things with YouTube Videos, you can frame them and add special effects too.

You can  e-mail the links to the shows to all your friends and family or embed them on a Blog or Website for people to see. I hope you enjoy my Christmas shows! Happy Holidays….

To turn the music on of off in the shows simply click the little speaker icon on the top right side of each show.
