More than a feeling….

In my feed-reader today I found a tribute to Brad Delp…It was the first thing I saw this morning when I fired up my lap top and I just had to read it even though I knew it would be a difficult read and of course watch the video. It really made me feel sad and a bit melancholy…it was more than a feeling…it was something much deeper.

Memories, fond memories of a local rock band made big…a band called Boston…I felt a sadness that I wasn’t sure I could shake at least not right away.

Brad Delp was the lead singer of the band Boston and he lived in the next town over from us, Atkinson New Hampshire.

Brad committed suicide earlier this year. His suicide left his family and friends, his fans and his community all asking why and deeply shook.

What would make a by all accounts nice guy, one who blended into his community and gave of himself… seal and lock himself in his bathroom with a note paper-clipped to his shirt and two gas grills fired up???

It still makes me sad thinking of it 6 months later.
One of his bands biggest hits was a song called “More than a feeling” and I thought what a fitting song to use as a tribute to a man long known as one of the nicest rock stars ever.
A tribute to Brad Delp…may he rest in peace.

Sun Setting Across Lake Massabesic

sunsetting across Lake MassabesicToday I had to attend a REALTOR Legal committee meeting up at the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS in Concord. It started at 1 pm and was due to end at 3 pm.

As luck would have it, the meeting ran over schedule and by the time I left it was 3:45.

I decided to drive home the back way in an attempt to avoid the traffic congestion in Windham.

It would take a few minutes longer but I wouldn’t have to sit in traffic.

The drive along Lake Massabesic in Auburn and down to Chester is usually a pretty ride.

Today it was Sunset lake Massabesicexceptional and due to the meeting running longer it put me right at the lake while the sun was setting.

After all these years living in NH and driving back and forth to Concord I had never witnessed a sunset along Lake Massabesic.

Today I did and it was so pretty that I had to stop and take some pictures and shot a little video of the sun setting across Lake Massabesic.

I hope you enjoy seeing this little piece of my New Hampshire back yard…hopefully it will help you understand why I love selling real estate in New Hampshire.

Prudential Verani and Extreme Makeover

Recently our company Prudential Verani Realty participated in the Extreme Makeover of a home for a Manchester New Hampshire family.

Jay and I had volunteered to help out in whatever way we could but then a family accident kept us away.

Prudential Verani and many of our agents, including fellow Active Rain member Judy Tuscano, worked the phones and whatever else needed to be done so that the contractor, R.J.Moreau and over 1,400 volunteers could work their magic. Read more
